Disaster Relief Team (DRT) Naming Conventions 

The current model of DRTs nationally is centered on development of capital city DRTs in each Australian state. There are currently DRTs in all states other than the Northern Territory and Tasmania, both of which are planned to be raised in the near term.

DRTs are now converting to a naming structure that defines them by state, with further ‘zone’ descriptions able to be added where multiple DRTs exist within a state. This enables expansion of DRT titles to adopt state ‘zones’, while enabling the primary naming structure to remain consistent.
